To Mr. Robert Bolson: put this in your pipe and smoke it

This from the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen/Weather Underground in the 1970s:

Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen.

So there you have it.  The lead prosecutor on the case is pleased to learn that Ayers has become a responsible citizen in the last 20-some years.   Is he “putrid and pathetic, partisan, and beyond the pale.” too?

Just wondering…

  1. The federal prosecutor may or may not be a ‘bleeding-heart liberal’. Given that he worked in the Nixon administration I’d wager not. That really is irrelevant to the point.

Ibershof is someone who is in the position to judge Ayers, much more so than you, at any rate. The problem here is obviously your standard for measuring someones character is far narrower than mine. That’s too bad for you but I hope you’re applying the same lens to Sarah Palin and her associations. I somehow doubt that. Are you applying that same set of standards to all of the Republicans who have sat on the same boards with Ayers over the course of the last 20 years? Like the people on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge?

At any rate Ayers doesn’t need me to defend him. You are free to maintain that Ayers is a low-life. I won’t lose any sleep over it and I’m sure neither will he.

As to piping down go to hell. You’re on my blog…not on yours.

  2. If I was a betting man, I would wager a rather large sum of money that your beloved federal prosecutor is also a bleeding-heart liberal.

Defend Ayres all you want, however, I maintain that he is a low-life who will never be a model citizen even if he lives to be 100. Until the day occurs when Ayres steps forward and apologizes in no uncertain terms for his treasonous behavior and denouncing such acts, those who defend him—or worse, associate with him as Obama has—are repugnant, reprehensible, jackasses.

And until he does, just pipe down or grow up, you’re embarrassing yourself.

  3. Wow… Did the “pipe down” offend you. How thin-skinned you Obamaniacs are. Let me know where to mail you a crying towel.

And congratulations…. You scored the hat-trick in managing to be a puerile partisan political poll parrot once again.

  4. Actually no it didn’t offend me. I do find you highly annoying for the simple fact that being an ass as a visitor on my blog and then having the gall to tell *me* to pipe down when I said something you don’t agree with is pretty bad form. If I were really offended I’d just have erased your comments.

I’m glad you keep attempting to look wordy and intelligent. Sorry to tell you it’s not working. You did manage to string a lot of words starting with P together though so congratulations on that. You are, if anything, certainly a blowhard.
