This yesterday from Neil Young. This bit perplexed me:

It’s about sound quality. I don’t need my music to be devalued by the worst quality in the history of broadcasting or any other form of distribution.

He is really arguing that streaming audio sounds worse than FM radio? Is his hearing completely gone?

He then goes on to say:

I don’t feel right allowing this to be sold to my fans. It’s bad for my music.

So taking your music away from your fans is better than letting them have it in the form they want it? This guy is being a bit batty.

I realize that music is an art but sometimes these people take themselves way too seriously. Obviously Neil Young is free to do whatever he wants with his own music but he’s wrong on so many levels here.
