The Daily Stoic Readings – 4/14/2022

Today’s entry is titled “Becoming an expert in what matters”. The authors ask the question:

At the end of your time on this planet, what expertise is going to be more valuable—your understanding of matters of living and dying, or your knowledge of the ’87 Bears?

In the grand scheme is either going to be valuable? I get the importance of “living your best life” and being an expert in it. But at the end of your life neither will be valuable.

It’s what you do while you’re alive that matters.
